Actually I *am* a regular Jabber user (via Google Chat) and I still
have no idea how the Jabber distributed ID system works. And I haven't
found the Jabber website very helpful. I know it's technically
off-topic for SchemePunks, but I think a page 'splaining it all would
be a wonderful thing.

Besides, DH also hosts Jabber domains, so we could (conceivably) tie
this all together with mailing-list & wiki registration...
